Henry Guy - President & CEO
Henry is the President & CEO of Modern Holdings. He has overseen and managed investments in over 30 portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Modern Holdings, Henry was the Chief Financial Officer at Ephibian, Inc. a leading software firm which focuses on developing comprehensive database driven software applications. Before Ephibian, Henry was an officer in the United States Navy.
Henry serves on a variety of boards including those of Verdere S.àr.l., Basset AB, Evermore Global Advisors, Specialty Claims Management, and Lors Photography, Inc. Henry serves on the Board of Visitors of Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.
Henry holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy.
Jens Björkman - CEO of Xpeedio Support Solutions AB and TailorMade Consulting Group Sweden AB
During the past 13 years, Jens has had many different roles on both the commercial and technical side of the telecom software business. For the past seven years he has been the President and CEO of Xpeedio. During this period he was responsible for the complete restructuring of the company's business model. For the past five years Jens has also been the CEO of TailorMade.
Jens has a BachelorŐs in Marketing from IHM College.
Ryan Darnell - Senior Analyst
Ryan joined Modern Holdings in 2012 as a Senior Analyst. He works closely with the CEOs of portfolio companies and helps them drive growth and improvement strategies that generate greater sales and earnings. Ryan also works with the investment team in all aspects of the investment process including sourcing potential investment opportunities, deal analysis, due diligence, and deal execution.
Prior to joining Modern Holdings, Ryan worked for Ingram Industries in Nashville, TN and was the Business Manager for the fuel division. While at Ingram, Ryan also worked in logistics for the barge line and sales for the construction aggregates division.
Ryan holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
Robert Dineen - Vice President of Investments
Robert is responsible for analyzing potential business ventures as well as developing and executing growth and operations improvement strategies for Modern Holdings' portfolio companies. Robert joined Modern Holdings in 2007.
Previous to Modern Holdings, Robert was an Analyst with the JP Morgan Private Bank in their New York office.
Robert holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Bucknell University.
Michael Fitzgerald - Vice President of Business Development
Mike is responsible for analyzing potential business ventures as well as developing and executing growth and operations improvement strategies for Modern Holdings' portfolio companies.
Mike has held CEO positions at portfolio companies Lors Photography, Inc. and The Black Book, and is on the boards of Lors, The Black Book, Loft Life, and Specialty Claims Management. Prior to joining Modern Holdings, Mike was Vice President of the Loyalty Corporation, a specialized telecommunications consulting firm, where he managed projects in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Prior to that, he was a Director of Product Management at Sprint International/Global One Communications.
Mike holds a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.
Laura Jaseviciute - Senior Analyst
Laura joined Modern Holdings in 2010 as a Senior Analyst. She works closely with the CEOs of portfolio companies and helps them drive growth and improvement strategies that generate greater sales and earnings. Laura also works with the investment team in all aspects of the investment process including sourcing potential investment opportunities, deal analysis, due diligence, and deal execution.
Prior to joining Modern Holdings, Laura worked for a boutique private wealth management/family office in Cambridge, MA that aids in the preservation and growth of investable assets through coordination of financial investments, entrepreneurial ventures, and philanthropic activities.
Laura holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science from Bentley College.
Jay Murray - Chief Financial Officer
Jay has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience. He joined Modern Holdings in 2006 after spending 5 years as the Controller of Laundry Zone, Incorporated, a start-up company that he helped grow to over five times its original size.
Prior to that, Jay was the Assistant Vice President of a national retail company with over 300 locations. He began his career with one of the nation's largest regional accounting firms.
Jay is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and NJSCPA. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Rutgers University.
